Parent & toddler classes
A gentle first taste of dance with a grown-up alongside. Music, movement and lots of smiles; it is always a lot of fun.
Eight styles, taught through the IDTA syllabus in our purpose-built studio. Whether your child wants to make friends, build confidence or train for a career in dance, there’s a class for them.

A gentle first taste of dance with a grown-up alongside. Music, movement and lots of smiles; it is always a lot of fun.

The foundation for every other style. Posture, poise, musicality and strength, taught through the IDTA ballet syllabus.

When a ballet dancer is strong and ready, Kate guides them safely onto pointe work.

Rhythm, timing and musicality, with plenty of noise. A favourite with younger dancers.

High-energy kicks, leaps and turns that build stamina, flexibility and stage confidence.

Expressive, grounded movement and floor work that lets dancers tell a story.

The routines you see in music videos and on tour. Sharp, fun and great for confidence.

Strength, balance and safe flexibility training that lifts every other class.
Every class group at the Academy carries the name of a legendary dancer or ballet. Your child moves up through the groups as they grow in age, skill and confidence.

Graded exams with a worldwide recognised board, taken throughout the year.
Every dancer gets to perform in our shows and fundraising events.
Competing in Tamworth, Birmingham, Walsall, Wrekin and at Can You Dance.
Dancers who want more can enter individual and small-group competitions.
We teach ballet, pointe, tap, modern jazz, contemporary, acro, conditioning and flexibility, commercial street and a parent and toddler class, following the IDTA syllabus.
Classes are grouped by age and ability and named after ballet greats, such as Petipa, Balanchine, Fonteyn and Coppélia for younger dancers, through to Inters and Seniors. Kate will place your child in the right group.
Each class has a set uniform. You can see the full list on our uniform page. For a trial class, comfortable clothes your child can move in are fine. Ask us when you book.
Our three festival teams are for dancers with a particular desire to compete or who are thinking about a career in dance. Teams compete at local festivals through the year and at Can You Dance in Nottingham.
Classes for ages 18 months to 19 years at our studio on Morgan Close, Willenhall. Tell us a little about your dancer and Kate will find the right class for them.
